What is the program that records the Cinnamon desktop?

On LM14 Cin you can record your desktop with pre-installed stuff doing ctrl+shift+alt+r. The setting is visible in Keyboard>System>"Toggle Recording Desktop (must restart cinnamon)"

It works, but I would like to know what program this. When I run $ top while i'm capturing, the program demanding the most resources is cinnamon itself. There must be some sort of sub-module controlling this that can be configured.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

That's because the capturing program is Cinnamon itself, using the screen recorder component. It's built-in and there aren't many options, save for FPS and GStreamer pipeline.
