Issue with menu/context overlays when using a top panel

Postby 0xnak on Wed Mar 20, 2013 10:01 am

This is a very minor, aesthetic-only issue, but it's one that bugs the crap out of me...

I like having a top and bottom panel and it seems that in this setup, the main menu, and right-click or context menus on the panel do not respect the same space/boundary on top vs. bottom panels. See attached screenshots:

Basically, panel menus (of any sort;right-click, context, etc.) appear to ever so slightly overlap the top panel, but not on the bottom panel. This is the case across all themes, although it is much more noticeable in some than others. Also, this same behavior is present regardless of distro (it appears to just be a global cinnamon issue.)

Any idea on how I can change this? I suppose there is somewhere in a theme'ss css I could make changes, but that is not preferable as this is global. I just need to adjust it by a few pixels...
