Trash gone when no one has gone before?

Postby Anubisone on Mon Mar 25, 2013 9:26 am

I used DEL key to delete massive 5GB chunk of files from the Scenery for Flightgear. It dissapeared instantly. I was happy to have 5GB more on my disc, but I have still only 800MB. Trash isn't blinking, so it is empty, HD makes me suprise too?

What the [HELL] is going on? xD Help please.

Take a look in:
~/.local/share/Trash/files

If your files were on a different partition, also here:
/partition_mount_point/.Trash*/files
(name here is ".Trash-1000" : "1000" = user ID/group?)

If no luck and you know one of the file names, look for that name, starting at "/".
Ternimal:
$ cd /
$ sudo find -name "*knownpartofname*"
Mint 17/Xfce/fluxbox & another Mint 17/Xfce/fluxbox with jackd audio.

After doing ~/.local/share/Trash/files I found 0 files in trash, but there were deleted and must be somewhere, right? xD

Man, how can I know the name of the partition? Is there a way to determine the name in console? I dont think I partitioned my HDD oO Maybe he did it himself? Oo
