im using this laptop : toshiba satellite c645 sp4250l
u can see the specs here : http://www.oxperu.pe/laptop-toshiba-sat ... re-14.html
i just wanted to know if this laptop could be suitable for linux mint 15 olivia . I read that olivia will bring the 3.8 kernel, and that kernel is for last generation processors i think. Could u help with this ?? I am thinking to switching cause energy consume is very high on my laptop and maybe with a higher version of the kernel could improve that. I am using linux mint 13 XFCE after a not succesful experience with xubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 .

Re: need your opinion about this hardware
I'm not sure how it fits, but
I would be amazed if your processor caused any problems.
I'd rather think, it's the other funny "HW-inventions" that laptops often have, that might cause problems.
I checked with google, but couldn't understand the links - pretty much all in spanish (I can only understand finnish, english, swedish, and to some extent, german).
I guess that means it supports ALSO the last generation processors....and that kernel is for last generation processors i think.
