hardware compatibility! i'm new :)

Hello everyone,

as the title says I've never used Linux MINT. I ask you if this distribution is cmpatible with the configuration of my PC.

Ps-> I used Ubuntu 12.04 LTS but I had problems with the graphics card "Radeon HD 6470M" and the Pc overheating.

Hello anosi and welcome to mint,

if you had problems with ubuntu your likely to experience similar problems with Mint. that being said the problem may have been
do to the open source drives for your video card. here's a page with AMD's drivers that may correct that problem
