boot very slow

Postby pavanred on Tue Apr 09, 2013 11:19 am

I have Linux Mint 14 and it was fine, but lately it takes very long to boot. I have my linux installation on one partition. I had a dual boot first, then I removed windows completely. So, that freed up 2 more partitions, which I mount using fstab at boot

Not always, but sometimes a screen also shows up during boot that says the /tmp drive is not ready and gives me the options to wait, cancel or mount it manually.

I am not sure why it takes so long to boot now when it used to be fine earlier.

Here is the bootchart - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/521537/laptop-nadia-20130409-1.png. I can see some long delays but I dont think I can understand why. Can anyone help me out?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.
