after I ran sudo apt-get -y upgrade or sudo apt-get -y dist-upgrade (I don't remember) my linux does not start up anymore
All that happens after I hit on Linux Mint in Grub is that I see a black screen with one '_' at the top left of the screen.
I did also set some environment variables so that I can easily start eclipse from the terminal. Therefore I did add export... lines at the end of the /etc/profile file. But I think that does not influence the booting behaviour - or does it?
Do I have to reinstall? What can be the cause of such a problem? I really did nothing fancy....
