Can't hibernate (suspend in swap)

Post by benlz »

Hi, I'm running LMDE Cinnamon on my netbook. I've got 1GB RAM and 2GB linux-swap partition.
When I try to hibernate the system, it regularly turn off, but it does not suspend on disc, because when I turn on the system, it boot normally.. like I did a normal poweroff.

So I take a look on gparted, and it shows /dev/sda1 partition (the linux-swap partition) as "unknown"... then I successfully formatted it as linux-swap, I activated the swap, closed gparted and tried to hibernate again, but it did not work again, and it shows again /dev/sda1 as "unknown"...

I've never had this issue with several ubuntu- debian- mandriva- based distros.
I hope someone can help.

PS: The system is up to date, and I'm running with 686-pae kernel, since I've got a dual-cpu.
