Hello,
I have linux mint 14 cinnamon installed.I have installed theme to change pc to my liking.I have GTK+Theme set to Mint-X.I have done everything but I need to change the background of nemo to an image preferably with some transparency.I have pulled Mint-X from /usr/share/themes,changed nemo.css in /application/nemo.css to backgroung-image: 'image.png' and pushed it to ./theme but surprisingly,It doesnt work for some reason even after restart.I also tried putting a solid color instead of image. But still no luck. Can anybody here say me how to change it an image with a transparency if possible? Thanks.
Regards,
vijai

Re: Editing nemo
Hi,
I've had a go at it here - so far with only limited success:

Maybe you can help me out with it
As for transparency -
Try opening the image in gimp and altering the opacity there before using it as above????
