Hello,
I am trying to install another linux distro over mint (it just wasn't what I was looking for) on my 2010 macbook pro. However, when I put in the CD and restart my computer, I am not given the option to run the CD, only mint, mint recovery mode, and two mem tests. Does anyone know how to get the CD to boot?
Thanks for any help or advice!

Re: boot from a cd
You should have the option to change the boot device in bios, well you do on a pc, not too sure on a mac.
Re: boot from a cd
You should have the option to boot from different modes of storage if you hold the alt/option key on your macbook pro. At least, this is the case when you need to do a system restore, or if you are booting from a portable HDD.
Re: boot from a cd
If I remember correctly you press (and hold?) the C key on a Mac to boot from the CD. Try that.
Or try your CD from another computer just to make sure you burned it correctly.
