[Solved] Ubuntu style Dash launcher in Mint?

Post by Spinnekop »

I tried to search on Dash but it doesn't have enough letters (minimum 5 for a search) so forgive me if this question has been asked before and it may come under the category of "stupid" questions

I started with Mint Cinnamon, tried Ubuntu for a bit and have now come back to Mint. The one thing I miss, having gotten used to it, is Dash - being able to search for/launch programs and files (but not shopping!) all in one place.

Is there any similar thing one can use in Mint? And the other reason I came back to Mint btw was because the forum is more helpful and friendly!!

If you want to have a launcher that can search programs fast, try installing GNOME-DO.

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install gnome-do
