My desktop has two NICs. One of which I use primarily for most everything; i.e. internet, local network access etc.
The second is on a VLAN through a ProCurve switch on an entirely different subnet along with my PS3.
I'd used the second NIC dedicated to the role of media server to exclude any other device on the network from being picked up by the PS3 as well as a number of other reasons.
My problem is this: if I assign a static IP address to the VLAN NIC it seems to want to take over as the primary network connection and essentially kills my internet access.
What would be the best way to go about configuring this?
