Remastersys is an Ubuntu app and does not function well with other Debian-based distros. However, number (9) in http://lxlinux.com/debian.html
is a recipe that generally worked for LMDE back when I used LMDE. I have not used it for recent versions.

Go to the remastersys web site (Ibelieve its just 'www.remastersys.com' )
theirs two versions a debian and for ubuntu, it walks you thru how to install (has a dedicated repo now ). and update source list.
Have used the debian version on "LMDE, solydkx (a LMDE 'OFFSHOOT with either Xfce or KDE), and sparkyLinux (also based debian testing) 3.x version works quite well.
Also used ubuntu version on Xubuntu, LMint, Peppermint, wattOS. all seemed to work fine.

Re: How Can I install Remastersys???? (NOT INSTALLING)
Hi there,
It seems the guy has gone berserker and killed the website. Anyone have a mirror? There is a fork here:
http://system-imaging.blogspot.co.nz/
But I am very new and I am not sure whether I should trust that site. Also, I downloaded the deb from the sourceforge and it doesn't work, the deb says
Error: dependency not satisfiable "remastersys"
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Pedro

This recipe,http://lxlinux.com/remastersys.html, works fine for me - have copied several different Debian-based systems with it.
Re: How Can I install Remastersys???? (NOT INSTALLING)
The guy just went un-berserk, might be a good time to provide a mirror for this very useful package.
=)
I have a server, if somebody explains what needs to be done I can do it
thanks
