I've got Mint 14 Cinnamon and the panel auto-hide doesn't work. Auto-hide is checked in the preferences and it shows times for appearing and hiding, but it won't auto-hide. I did a search on auto-hide, but no subjects appeared.
One other minor thing; the menu button isn't green like it is in the root account. I'm not sure if that's significant or not.
Oh, one other minor thing, themes don't all appear to work. I'm using "Android" at the moment and it makes the header green, but others don't appear to do anything.
Sorry if my terminology is not totally correct.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Panel Auto-Hide doesn't work
Hi
Is this a fresh install?
Is this a fresh install?
Re: Panel Auto-Hide doesn't work
Fresh install 2 months ago. No additional software has been added, just running the "out of the box" install. I have run update 3 or 4 times.Fornhamfred wrote:Hi

All the basics work, but I would like to address these minor "irritations".

Re: Panel Auto-Hide doesn't work
If it were me I would backup the home partition ( assuming you created one ) and then re-install.
Re: Panel Auto-Hide doesn't work
That may be what I have to do; hopefully some one will come up with a configuration mod that would solve this issue.Fornhamfred wrote:If it were me I would backup the home partition ( assuming you created one ) and then re-install.
By default, Mint 14 forms a home partition, so I should be good if I decide to re-install.
Re: Panel Auto-Hide doesn't work
I thought I'd bump this.
I also found out that "activate menu on hover" doesn't work, either. The box is "X"ed.
There sure seems to be a lot of things that don't work.

Re: Panel Auto-Hide doesn't work
Sorry
I cannot help any further with this but I have read in the last few days that version 1.8 of cinnamon is being released and a lot of bugs have been sorted. If you look at the cinnamon site I would expect to see how to upgrade to the latest version.
Good Luck
