Linux Format 8 page article on Linux Mint! (free online)
Linux Format magazine issue 167 (February 2012), which was just released yesterday, has an 8 page article titled "Mighty Mint". The article covers Linux Mint's history back from the first release, the different goals of Linux Mint and Ubuntu, the rise of MATE and Cinnamon, the MintBox, and closes with some thoughts on its DistroWatch ranking. What seeps through all the pages is that it has been quite a journey to bring Linux Mint from its early beginnings to today. Where Clem is quoted, he is as balanced in his views as ever, making it a pleasure to read.

Excellent article, makes me wonder why I want to distro-hop as much as I do.

The history of Mint of interesting (no doubt old new to Mint old timers). How it started probably explains (among other things) Mints superb community. Easily the distro forums I feel most at home on.
