Built-in SD card reader not working

Post by Caps18 »

I'm trying to get the card reader that is built into my laptop working, but I'm not doing something right. Do I have to mount it, and how would I figure out the command if I need to? Or are there drivers or some type of software that I should install to make it work?

If I use a external USB card reader it works fine. But I would rather not have to carry it with me.

The output for lspci is:

Code: Select all

02:05.0 CardBus bridge: Ricoh Co Ltd RL5c476 II (rev ac)
02:05.1 CardBus bridge: Ricoh Co Ltd RL5c476 II (rev ac)
02:05.2 FireWire (IEEE 1394): Ricoh Co Ltd R5C552 IEEE 1394 Controller (rev 04)
Thanks

I remember someone with a Ricoh card reader and problems around october last year - if only I found it...
Do search for it and I believe the solution is there

This thread has all the info required to get it to work.

I am using a Gateway m275 tablet that is a few years old, but works very nicely.
