Rooting around the ubuntu forums I found something called bootchart which shows how quick it boots and what is being loaded etc.
I have no idea what most of it is and wondered if anyone here had any experience of bootchart.
I get some error messages on boot that I see, something about my Network applet dvd drive uuid.
Warning: Not loading blacklisted module ipv6 which gets on my t*ts.
And something uvcvideo....i think thats my webcam not being picked up.
Here's my bootchart, quite pleased it takes 22 seconds and felt good looking through other peoples times and mine being quicker until I noticed the last post was 2 years ago hahaha.
Thanks
Andy

Re: Undertanding Bootchart?
Mint does not load ipv6 by default - we have blacklisted the module as it creates problems and so far ipv6 has not been used to my knowledge (but I may be wrong )Warning: Not loading blacklisted module ipv6 which gets on my t*ts.
Re: Undertanding Bootchart?
It seems as if it's trying to load then see's it's been blacklisted lets me know then a few seconds later try's to load again etc etc
