does wine come as a default in daryna? I never noticed it and was wondering if I downloaded by accident? is it useful for any other apps that are default install? can I remove it and still be able to accee file via the MPlayer?

No, it's not installed by default. And yes you can remove it if your not wanting to run windows apps.

Ok the reason is is that I saw it in the menu. weird eh? maybe it loaded when I did this multimedia studio thing. strange.

sorry to disagree with you but I believe that it may be included... But since i am not a linux or mint wiz I am asking.
my daughter's user account also has it. yes it could be global re: the install but I never downloaded it or need it or ever, ever, ever use windows software/applications as such.

Entering Wine in a terminal comes up with an error as "wine not found", thats all I am going on!
