Roll your own Distro......

Hello,

I want to roll my own Distro in order to learn more about Linux. I figured I would go the easy way first to learn the ropes and use a tool like Ubuntu Builder. However I have been unable to find a tool that works correctly with LMDE. Would anyone here know how to get it working correctly or know of a tool that works correctly with LMDE?

mint-constructor or solydxk-constructor is more suitable for debian based.
