No worries, your file system is your hard drive :) If you check its size it will be 160Gb.

That is what I was thinking but wasn't sure what he meant. He probably saw the hard drive icon with the live CD, and then didn't see it after installation.

I was confused by that when I first came to Linux as well, took me a while to figure it out lol.

In the Linux world the file system is the entire universe. Partitions can be mounted or bound to folders in the file system but Linux doesn't really know or care about them. It doesn't speak "drives" at all. That is a foreign language to Unix/Linux. :-)
