Does Linux Mint have drivers and software for Hauppauge HD PVR2? I hate Windows OS and want to switch but i need to know that the Linux will support that type of hardware

It's often possible to get devices working in Linux without the manufacturer's support, so I won't just give up because the manufacturer says it's unsupported.
Most of the time manufacturers of these kinds of hardware, get their chips from other companies, and chances are that there is Linux support for the chips used inside your device.
Is this a USB device? In that case please open Terminal from the menu, run this command with the device connected, and post the output:
