Lin here. I've been using Linux since 2007, so I am still a noob. I've recently install Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon and I was so blown away I have went totally Linux and done away with my Windows 7 install. I realized one morning that I was using mostly open source and freeware in Windows anyway, so it was time to make the switch. The main thing I was using Windows for was DVD ripping, and I've discovered that I can do it just as well (and maybe better) in Linux.
