The worst question ?
I want to minimize my windows to the panel, when I minimize now they dissapear and I need to alt+tab for all open programs.
I hope you understand what I'm talking about and I know it's stupid but I can't find the place to change this.
Thanks !

WOW You almost look green with envy, or is that a pickle in your...nevermind The only reason I posted 1st was because I authored the link I forwarded and knew where to find it...I couldn't remember exactly how to do it , though I would have figured it out. I've got an excellent memory, the problem is that it's not as long as it used to be. Oh well, as the saying goes, "Memory's the 2nd to go "Zwopper wrote:LOL!

antiquexray,
Speaking from experience, the successor to a long memory is a short pencil.

Re: The worst question ?
Pencil? Pencil? Pencil? Isn't that one of those old analog recording devices??? I memory serves (and I've already discussed my memory), wasn't it but half of the over all record keeping process? It seems there was another piece of hardware one had to use.Fred wrote:antiquexray,

I did run apt-get update still get the error so I'm wondering what repos you use for Mint ?
Any help would be great thx

Re: The worst question ?
Well, I'm at work (sshhhh, don't tell anyone) and away from my Mint Box. I'm guessing someone will have an answer for before I can get home and check my sources.list.Armann wrote:Just one quick question since you are here

Re: The worst question ?
There is nothing wrong with your sources list. It is probably choking on the Ubuntu repos. Their servers have been screwed the past few days. I think a lot of people are still downloading Hardy, and upgrading from Dapper. It should clear up in a few days. I can't update Hardy because of this. You can watch in the terminal while it's trying to update to see which repo isn't downloading.

So there are no other repos that I can add ?67GTA wrote:There is nothing wrong with your sources list. It is probably choking on the Ubuntu repos. Their servers have been screwed the past few days. That's strange coming from Centos.
Re: The worst question ?
All of the repos that start with (#), are skipped. If you uncomment them, they will add more packages. Run apt-get update again after doing this. The error you posted was from repos not being refreshed(server error). This is what I was referring to with Ubuntu. All of the Gutsy repos in your /etc/apt/sources.list are from the Ubuntu servers, which are bogged down right now because of all the Hardy activity. The error you got was apt telling you it couldn't get the archives from the Ubuntu repos to install the app. I'm not familiar with that app, so it may actually be in one of the repos that are commented out.

Re: The worst question ?
Thanks yeah I know about the #, I took them out for the second and third line.67GTA wrote:All of the repos that start with (#), are skipped. If you uncomment them, they will add more packages. I'll uncomment more, thanks for the suggestion m8
