Re: Asphalt-mint wallpaper
It looks great, but it doesn't have any mint colors and to me lacks the mint feel.

Yea, I know.xvedejas wrote:It looks great, but it doesn't have any mint colors and to me lacks the mint feel.
The next version is going to be a green color.
Re: Asphalt-mint wallpaper
Well, I don't have the latest KDE logo .svg.ed@Mint wrote:Nice one.
I guess the yellow was to create a 'street marks' effect, good idea...
I also think it lacks the Mint colors, and i'm sure it'll look as much good with those
Oh, and don't forget the KDE version
Might have to look for that first.

Re: Asphalt-mint wallpaper
These look great merlwiz79! I especially like how you've kept the texture showing through the logo, which gives a realistic paint effect. Can I ask which blending technique you used? I normally use 'overlay' when I'm trying to create a similar effect to this, but it never looks as good as what you've managed here.
One minor nitpick: in the official logo version (widescreen) you appear to have distorted the logo as well as rotated it, making it a little too long and twisting the angles slightly.
You can find the Linux Mint KDE logo in SVG format here.

Great wallpapers! The version with the standard logo is better, IMHO.

Darn I just noticed that.Jernau wrote:These look great merlwiz79! I especially like how you've kept the texture showing through the logo, which gives a realistic paint effect. I'll fix it, I forgot to hold Ctrl when resizing the logo.
I use inkscape what are you using?
Are they still using that Kde logo?
I thought the made it darker.
If so I have that one and can use it.
Thanks for the link though.

I use Photoshop for the majority of my wallpapers. Old habits die hard!merlwiz79 wrote:I use inkscape what are you using?
As far as I'm aware that is still the official KDE logo, though I'm sure boo can correct me if I'm wrong.merlwiz79 wrote:Are they still using that Kde logo?

Asphalt-mint v2 wallpaper
Corrected both:
Normal:(fixed the brightness)
Widescrren:(Fixed Logo)
Will Make a Kde one now.
It will take longer, since I have to added the text to it.

Re: Asphalt-mint wallpaper
Is it just me, or does the widescreen version looks suspiciously similar the normal one?!
Re: Asphalt-mint wallpaper
Yes, I made a mistake and used the normal instead of the widescreen, fixing now.Jernau wrote:Is it just me, or does the widescreen version looks suspiciously similar the normal one?!
