Everything seems to work but still no sound

I have just installed mint 15. I checked sound properties and everything seems to work properly. The sound bar is going up and down when I play a sound but no sound is heared.

I have the same issue, I also had sound issues with previous distros of mint

Hello!

I know in my case there's an issue with the underlying system identifying your machine. Feeding it the proper metadata (in this case, a code that identifies what kind of computer you're running the OS on) should fix the issue:

sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
