update 7 and skype

Updated to 7 and there is a problem with the system sound. The mic is live all of the time and skype sound doesn't work or squeals like bad rf in the speakers depending on what i diddle with in PulseAudio settings...suggestions on how to fix this would be nice, including instructions to roll back sound system to last install. thanks

No idea about the rollback, but the skype problem seems to be a bug in skype (can't cope with low latency).
In some forum I found a workaround which works for me. Start skype via terminal with

Code: Select all

PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 skype

instead of using starters. Terminal has to remain open while using skype.

Thanks for that tip, it seems to work however the camera is not working with that fix.
