Hello guys, i'm sorry if you've been already asked this, but i didn't find a specific answer to this question anywere else. I recently installed linux mint 15 in my desktop but after a few days i couldn't find any updates available because i couldn't connect to the following PPA's:
http://ppa.launchpad.net/alexmurray/indicator-sensors/ubuntu/dists/raring/main/binary-amd64/Packages
http://ppa.launchpad.net/alexmurray/indicator-sensors/ubuntu/dists/raring/main/binary-i386/Packages
I tried to connect through my browser and i found out that the raring folder isn't available.
I also noticed that blender is in 2.66a version althought 2.68a is already available. Is my problem has anything to do with this and how can i fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Problem with PPA
Hi George -
For your first question see if the packages you want are in the main repo - search in Synaptic may be one way. More here.https://answers.launchpad.net/indicator ... ion/220323 You can just remove those 2 PPAs as they will not be maintained.
For the second question you should be able to install the latest deb or add through a PPA (I prefer that because it installs updates when available). I think it would be safe to say that the Ubuntu repo will not update the version.

Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:irie/blender && sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install blender
Re: Problem with PPA
Thanks Pat, i actually did figure it out and installed the irie ppa. for anyone else who wonders it works pretty good but it only updates blender.
