My updater has been unable to check for updates lately. I keep getting the following error messages:
ERROR###ERROR###ERROR###ERROR###ERROR###ERROR###ERROR
W:Failed to fetch http://packages.medibuntu.org/dists/raring/free/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found
, W:Failed to fetch http://packages.medibuntu.org/dists/raring/non-free/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
Does anyone know what that means?
Thanks in advance.

Re: What's Up with the Updates
medibuntu isn't around anymore, so you need to select edit from the update manager, and the select prefrences. Then go to the Ignored package tab, and click on Add, and then type medibuntu, and then click ok. Thats it you should be good to go.

Not really the smartest approach.IceAxe18 wrote:medibuntu isn't around anymore, so you need to select edit from the update manager, and the select prefrences. Then go to the Ignored package tab, and click on Add, and then type medibuntu, and then click ok. Thats it you should be good to go.
You do not ignore the packages, you disable or remove the whole medibuntu repository, because medibuntu has been discontinued: The Medibuntu project comes to an end
Note:
On most Mint editions the packages.medibuntu.org line will be found in the file /etc/apt/sources.list.

Re: What's Up with the Updates
Thanks.
I'm not near my Linux computer at the moment, but where would I be able to find that package in Mint 15 KDE?
thanks again.

Sorry.
I am sort of new-ish at this. Should I just following the instructions in the link provided by karlchen?

Or you can just follow the recommendations here: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=147271

Re: What's Up with the Updates
How can I disable this repo in Mint 15? In spite of what has been written elsewhere, this Mint does use the repo as that is what my error messages are saying .
