548 recommended updates

I just updated, and now I still have 548 left. I don't have 8 hours to do this everyday. What is going on?

You didn't tell anything about the error messages during the upgrade process.

LMDE UP's are big, run it at night or when you have other things to do. Are you running broadband or dialup? 500mb goes fast on my broadband.\\

ps it's not everyday, it;s more like every six months or so. Hang in there.

Was one of the packages updated in the first update mintupdate? Sometimes they change something about the repositories, that change is reflected in the next mintupdate, and once you've updated mintupdate, you find out about all the other updates you've been missing because they were at a new place. That doesn't happen often, maybe once every year or two.

Whether it's this scenario, or the more likely one Crewp described, this doesn't happen very often.

This is a known upstream bug (of course, it's only known if you read the UP notes before the upgrade). Don't pay attention to it.

You still didn't tell anything about the error messages during the previous upgrade session.
