Downloaded Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE 201303) and installed without any serious problems. Had some resolution issues but they were sorted via the console.
After a few hours (I had by then installed a few applications, the latest being a game package) the applications (not all but many, including the terminal) fail to open. I click the icon, a window flashes up but dies again, within a second. It's if it is trying to open and then changes its mind.
Any suggestions why this would happen? Apart from a few applications from the repos being installed I also made some really minor 'personalisations', like adding a keyboard layout, changing the background and theme. Nothing major.
Cheers!

Have you tried updating 2013-3 with Update Pack 7?
