Hi,
I have been using Mint 13 KDE cleanly and smoothly since it was brand new, on an old destop PC Intel Dual Core motherboard and nVidia GForce video card.
Yesterday I noticed that an automatic upgrade was done to KDE 4.11.2; everything fine, yet all after instalation, all desktop effects were disabled. I got into System Preferences, checked on a couple of effects, and an error message in Spanish (translatede here) says: "23 desktop effects could not be loaded"; when I press "Details" button, it says "for technical problems, the root cause cannot be determined"
4.11.2 on Minte KDE 13; problem with desktop effects

Re: 4.11.2 on Minte KDE 13; problem with desktop effects
Hello,
My system just was updated to KD 4.11.3; I still have the window effects problem. I executed the "NVIDIA X Server Settings", and I get this error:
"You do not appear to be using NVIDIA X-Driver. Please edit your X Configuration File (just riun 'nvidia-config' as root, and restart the X Server"
I did as instructed, re-started, and I still get the error
I have an old 2008 desktop with Intel Motherboard, Core 2 Duo, 3 GB RAM and 400 GB in 2 HDs. NVidia Ge Force GT 200 video card
Any help pls?
