For some odd reason, the XChat (GNOME) IRC app just times out and quits on me after about 30 sec, no matter what I'm doing. I barely have a chance to join a channel before the thing unexpectedly closes out. No reason or error given whatsoever. It worked fine a few days ago, and I've had no problems in the past at all until today. Any idea what might be going on?? Is there a current issue with the app that I'm not aware of? Thanks so much. And sorry for those of you in the IRC channel who had to put up with my incessant entering and exiting while I've been trying to figure out what is going on.

Are you behind a router that has had it's settings changed recently? Firewall settings been changed?
