LTSP and Linux Mint

Post by bennabiy »

We have been running LinuxMint on our systems from 10 up till now, and have always been frustrated with one thing. There is no native support for LTSP within Mint. (I know, it will install through the apt-get and such...)

As of current, in order to build a client for LTSP, there a few hoops needed to jump through, to build the clients. I have been working with the developers of the LTSP project, and they would love to see the Linux Mint developers work with them, to provide support. I have made a few patches to the LTSP code, to monkey it together, but it would be so much nicer if there was some support from this end to make a nice finished product.

I would love this also as I'm struggling a bit with this! Are you able to to share how you got it working? I'm trying to get an LTSP sever running on 16 / MATE.

All the best,

It would be really nice if the LTS and Debian Mint editions would have LTSP support. :D
