It's just the same as enabling Multiverse repo in Ubuntu I would have thought.
You gave a good answer here 900i.
Beyond this, we all have to manage that Linux keep its freedom and tolerance properties and never become a multi guru sect :cry:

If the owners want we take off the proprietary stuff from Mint, they only have to say it, we can remove that and we can create a solution for this(for example, an automatix for Mint, or CNR), really this is not a problem, I think.

Then they also have to shut down PCLinuxOS, SabayonLinux, etc.

Mint isn't the first or last to do this.
