I have a new Asus G750JW running Mint15 with Mate.
I spent a frustrating day trying to get the WiFi to work. I'm posting this so that others don't waste their time... The Broadcom 43b1 WiFi chip does not have a Linux driver in the repositories. If you go to the Mint Driver Manager you will see that the bcmwl-kernel-source is disabled -- don't enable it.
This handy list show that the 43b1 is not supported:

First program written in Algol for a KDF9 (just look up KDF9 on Wikipedia).

The 32 bit version is named: http://people.canonical.com/~ypwong/dri ... _95.tar.gz with just the "_64" deleted. For non vim users gedit or pluma should be used: vim dkms.conf OR gedit dkms.conf
At last this machine has native WiFi.
