Can not load session "ubuntu"

Post by bobby76 »

Hi everyone. Allow me to introduce newbie here. I have installed Linux Mint XFCE 15 for months. Just now, I installed xubuntu-desktop

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop
After I restarted computer, Linux mint login box appeared and I login as usual. However, Linux Mint force me to logout (hence can not login to Linux) with error message
Can not session "ubuntu"

and the error log message has created in ~/.xsession-errors

Here is the ~/.xsession-errors content:

Code: Select all

/etc/mdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup...
localuser:bobby being added to access control list
Script for cjkv started at run_im.
Script for default started at run_im.
openConnection: connect: No such file or directory
cannot connect to brltty at :0
Failed to connect to the VirtualBox kernel service
Failed to connect to the VirtualBox kernel service
Failed to connect to the VirtualBox kernel service
Failed to connect to the VirtualBox kernel service
Failed to connect to the VirtualBox kernel service
Script for cjkv started at run_im.
Script for default started at run_im.
I search Google but havent found sutable result yet. I open the /etc/mdm/Xsession but haven't found any xubuntu word. Did anybody ever experience this and how is that the solution?
Forgive my bad english. I am typing this on Ubuntu installed on external harddisk since I can not login Mint installation.

Thank you for yor time and reply.
Regards,
Bobby
