Even CUPS won't make the HP Deskjet 2510 print.
The USB was connected to an extension USB cable, however I tried the printer's USB directly into computer and still not working.
Honestly, I've never had a printer work on Linux Mint. My Canon LBP 7200Cdn still doesn't work on Mint.
I'm using 64 bit Maya and when first installed my Canon IP7250 didn't work either, can't remember how or why but discovered that CUPS had installed the 32 bit driver, changed to 64 bit driver and success.
