The Crossroads Blues
Hello, everyone. My name is Roy and I got the Crossroads Blues. I am a long time windows user and have recently migrated to Linux. I started with Ubuntu 12.04 and now Mint 16, and have been quite happy, extremely happy as a matter of fact. I am at that official crossroads though, duel boot or all Linux. Now for the blue part, I am a huge PC gamer and I don't really want to leave behind the ease of access to all my games. I have installed WINE and am learning to configure it but I see that some of my titles will be difficult to configure but I will get it. I also expect another crossroads soon. Linux or BSD, i think this will be the easy one. Anyhow, I am happy to be here and I will probably ask more questions than I answer but I will be as helpful as I can.

Re: The Crossroads Blues
If you are that of a huge PC gamer then probably a dual boot with windows and linux will be best choice because wine won't be able to run all of your PC games efficiently or at all.Burnt_Offerings wrote:Now for the blue part, I am a huge PC gamer and I don't really want to leave behind the ease of access to all my games. ^ I second what Jahid says. Although the gaming for Linux is improving (GOG.com just announced Linux ports coming this fall, Steam has a bunch of Linux games & SteamOS, etc), there are still some games that I like to play which are simply not supported on Linux at all, through any method. I dual boot with Win7 for such cases. Gaming is the only time I use Windows, the rest of the time I boot into Linux. You might concider this option, as it will let you have your cake and eat it too.
