Does Mint Cinnamon have an equivalent to the $HOME/.xession login session script
(or anything that is functionally equivalent)?
I fiddled with an ~.xsession script, but alas, it appears not to be run.
I want to set some user specific keycodes in it; under these circumstances I have
no business of setting a 'startup' program, just a script that gets run as soon as the
specific user logs in.
And no -- let' not assume at all that the user is running a terminal with an inter-
active shell.
Thank you.
mint / cinnamon equivalent of ~/.xsession script ?

Have you tried ".profile" or the cinnamon session manager (it should be on the Settings menu) to launch programs at the start of the session.
Are you sure your script really works?
