Hello, mwes.

Perhaps this thread will help solve your issue: NO_PUBKEY

Kind regards,
Karl

Thank Karl, but the extent of my computer knowledge amounts to pointing and clicking on my former XP system. Am I supposed to enter each line in the terminal seperately and press enter after each line or enter them all and then press enter. Sorry, but this is all foreign to me. Thanks.

Two things:

The linuxmint.com server may not be the right server to ask for the key. Maybe ubuntu.com will work.

Code: Select all

sudo apt-key adv --recv-key --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 25EEBC6F080059AF
In case this still does not work, please, post the output of

Code: Select all

inxi -r
This should allow to determine which PPA on launchpad.net you are trying to query.
I had assumed the string "http://ppalaunchpad.net" in your initial post might be a typing error.
But maybe it is not. Then the address is simply invalid. http://ppalaunchpad.net does not exist. So question arises what the correct address should be.

Kind regards,
Karl
Just open up Terminal and copy and paste. It's not as hard as you would think, I thought learning a whole new OS over again would be hard. It is challenging but not impossible, it's also fun :).
Oh yeah, add the first line and hit enter, that should get the key or whatnot, the other one just lists the PPA's you were trying to use.

Seems to have cleared the error so I will assume it has worked, as I know not what any of the returned writting meant. Thanks for help.
