Can You "Download" Files in Space?

Post by gtsfer »

I thought this was interesting. It's live info and feeds from the International Space Station. http://livefromspace.com/

And In case you didn't know... in May 2013 NASA kicked M$ off the ISS. All laptops on the ISS now run Linux Debian Edition. Windows is "not allowed" in space.

In space, "Download" is "Upload"

It would seem to make sense that way. I mean how can you "download" when you're 250 miles up?

There is no "up" or "down" in a client-server relationship? The server doesn't care, and the client doesn't know.

Scientifically speaking radio waves transfer data normally and can travel though space
As for "Downloading" impossable in space nothing goes down or up because of no gravity
it more like a file is pulled

Yea client-server relation

and for subs i think downloading would be slow the files could also be scabled by the bending of light or compressed due to water presser
