SD Card: strange behaviour

Post by JohnH »

Hi everyone,

I have an SD card in my camera and I loaded some pics onto it so I could get some prints made. I am now unable to delete the shots off the card; it is locked some how. I can't change permissions.

Any ideas about what might be the problem and how can I clear the card. I put it in my PDA and tried to delete it that way but without success.

Any clues?

Regards
John

SD Cards and similar devices need to be formatted to get rid of content - you can delete but that does not free up any space
My general advice is therefor to wait until it is getting filled up and transfer everything to your computer and format the thing
Note: do check if this is the proper procedure for your card - this might vary even if I don't think so, and I can't have detailed knowledge of all different "small cards"
