Hello,
Have a couple computers set up with Maya 13 (LTS) XFCE for special needs users. All works well, but the users have a tendency to right-click wayyyyy too much and delete items from the bottom panel. Like the start menu, clock, and other panel items. It's very time consuming to constantly have to restore these features and I'd just prefer to set them up, then "lock" them into place.
How can I "lock" the items in the bottom panel so a user cannot move, delete, or change the bottom panel components?
Thank you very much for assistance on this!

By the lack of response, is this an unsolvable problem?
Would be grateful for any help.

Hi
Not sure if this is what you need. Try this page http://wiki.xfce.org/howto/kiosk_mode
Otherwise it might be best to post on the XFCE forum.

Wow... Thank you *very* much. This sure looks like what I was trying to accomplish. Am typing this on a Cinnamon machine, but will give it a shot as soon as I get over to the specific xfce desktop that needs lockdown from the user losing all her icons from an over zealous mouse-clicking hand!BBistheKing wrote:Try this page http://wiki.xfce.org/howto/kiosk_mode
