Transmission/Deluge lose data

Post by Patrissimo »

When I restart my bit torrent client, my downloads start again at 0%, even if they were completely finished before shutting down.
This happens in both Transmission and Deluge, on Ubuntu Hardy and Mint Elyssa. I thought it might be related to unmounted drives, but I click on them all before I open the program. I thought it was Transmission that was goofed up, but I removed it and installed Deluge, which acts the same way. Transmission acts the same way with Hardy on my kid's computer.
I googled it and searched here for similar posts, but struck out.
Any ideas?
Don't be afraid to assume I might be a blockhead, and made a simple mistake.
Otherwise, Elyssa, which is the only OS on my computer, is very impressive. and I suspect this is not an Elyssa problem, but a Patrissmo problem.

Nevermind.
Just fired up transmission on Ubuntu and it seems to be working fine.
I restarted Deluge on Mint and all but 1 torrent resumed where they left off. I futzed with the destination locations, and I think that's done it.
