I can remake the Mint website
Hello,
I started with Ubuntu when switching to linux simply because the website was so much better. But I dumped Ubuntu and came to Mint after trying it anyway. I thought about this a lot.
I am a web designer and developer. I can revamp the website in a matter of days. And if there are any others who want to contribute, that would be great. I would suggest that we work for free, but encourage donations to help Mint and its developers.
The website footer saying 2006 is all I need to point out really (and forums 2007). I can do everything on a test server and move over once whomever makes the decision to change it.
Any projects like this going on right now?

Re: I can remake the Mint website
I can't find it right now, but another web designer had started something similar. There is a topic somewhere...
But you should contact Clem about this (Linux Mint founder and project lead). You can contact him best on IRC. Just open Hexchat/XChat from your menu (or Konversation/Quassel if you are on KDE). Then join the the developer channel #linuxmint-dev and find clem there.

It was this topic.

But the guy did not join the forum since mid-february. Obviously he is not going to do anything. So if you have an idea, speak with Clem on IRC (#linuxmint-dev) and show us the results

A modern website would accommodate access via smart phones as well as large monitors. So, an upgrade is appropriate for that reason alone.

Oh, I thought there were other things on the linuxmint.com site. As a matter of fact, you could access the Mint 17 User Guide,/dev/urandom wrote:You want to download Mint with your smartphone?
http://www.linuxmint.com/documentation/ ... h_17.0.pdf from a smart phone while installing Mint to a desktop.
It would add another option.
