Simple CompizConfig Settings issues

I fixed it by uninstall compiz-core which uninstalled everything needed, hope this helps.

I have the same problem. None of the setting changed I make in compiz-settings-manager have any effect.

Using Synaptic, I removed compiz-core and all the associated packages it removed.
I installed compiz and all associated packages:
Nothing changed.

Reinstalled compiz-settings-manager:
Nothing changed

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I resolved this by removing the simple-ccsm package and rebooting.
