Broken packages installing Muon?

Post by Gasman »

Hi Guys
I keep trying to install the package manager `Muon` by using Synaptic and also via terminal typing `sudo apt-get install muon` but I keep getting `broken packages` message
like
The following packages have unmet dependencies.
muon : Depends: libmuonprivate2 (= 2.2.0-0ubuntu3.1) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

any ideas how to correct this please as I`ve tried sudo apt-get upgrade and everything else seems in order?
thanks
Steve

  • The Muon package management suite is a collection of package management
applications built on the KDE platform
. This package contains runtime libraries
Mint (Ubuntu..) Main edition is usually Gnome, which KDE desktop or parts have you already installed ?
