I have two users on my machine. Sometimes I use the "Switch User"-fuctionality and allow the other user to log in. Everything works just fine until he, the other user, tries to log out. At this moment the screen turns black and the system stops responding to any classical shortcuts.
Is anybody else experiencing this? I think this problem appeared with Elyssa.

Re: Crash on Log-Out after Switching Users
Which version of mintAssistant do you have?
Ver 2.4 which came with the original Elyssa has a security flaw

It also affects user account behavior/creation so this could be it

Just as a matter of curiosity: doesn't this sort of fix come with mintUpdate?Husse wrote:Which version of mintAssistant do you have?

Re: Crash on Log-Out after Switching Users
Yes it does - but I can never be sure if people have updated or not
You must realize that all my answer are sort of "given in the dark" - I hardly know anything about the particular computer with a problem

Mine is updated daily, thus I guess it's not it.Husse wrote:Yes it does - but I can never be sure if people have updated or not

Re: Crash on Log-Out after Switching Users
Which hardware?
Post the output of lspci
There seems to be some kind of bug with ATI and older editions, which continues right into the present
Oh - turn off compiz - that may help

Re: Crash on Log-Out after Switching Users
Compliz doesn't change anything, nor is there any visible output. The whole thing just goes black and freezes dead.Husse wrote:Which hardware?
