Re: Here Are Top 20 Linux Tutorials!
That is an ocean of information and knowledge that new users are more likely to flounder and drown in, one expects advanced users to distill a minimal logical progression from it for their benefit..unless the intention was to tickle your vanity and show off the length and breadth of your erudition. Despite being an old hand at using Mint, i admit, much to my chagrin, that i am still at sea when it comes to making myself useful with the CLI and speak from a noob's perspective and experience. However i've decided on this plan of action to amend that and recommend it to others like me:
1) To speed read through http://www.linux-tutorial.info/modules. ... pageid=224
2) To get the feel of the shell with this, http://cli.learncodethehardway.org/book/
3) Get more practice with this: http://linuxcommand.org/lc3_learning_the_shell.php
4) This should make things clearer in more detail; http://mywiki.wooledge.org/BashGuide
5) And finally i intend to go through this minutely, http://www.gnu.org/software/bash/manual/bashref.html
Hopefully this should suffice to take me where i need to be or lead me onto the next stage without much difficulty. Any additions or subtractions to this list that might lighten the load or ease the progress would be most welcome and will have my gratitude.
