[solved] Startup Applications... not working

Mint 17 Mate
Startup Applications... add application function: my additions are not saved.
also: items unchecked or removed not saved
after making any change I close the tool. when I reopen it has reverted.

Thanks but Nope, don't care for xfce.
I am trying to fix it.

BTW the RC (I still have it installed) does not have this problem.
I did a full install of the final again, bug is still there.

Hi all! Jane my jungle girlfriend has come my rescue yet again!

I installed the Parcellite Clipboard Manager via the Package Manager
but I gave up trying get it to work from the Startup Applications at
bootup time on my Mint Mate 13 64bit.

Well it turns out, Jane knows her way round the jungle better than I do !

What Jane did was rename the /etc/xdg/autostart/parcellite-startup.desktop
TO
/etc/xdg/autostart/parcellite.desktop
AND
Jane also edited out the bottom line of the newly named parcellite.desktop
the [OnlyShowIn=GINOME;XFCE;] and subsituted that with the bottom line
from the pulseaudio.desktop ie [X-GNOME-Autostart-Delay=8]

Leaping Lizzards Jane! it works like a charm. (giving her a 6 Bananas rating on that one!)

This is unreproducible in my fresh installation. Your home folder might have some permission issues.

thanks for the ideas... I gave up and attribute it to "ghosts"

actually the V2 release fixed this, along with a few other bugs.
